I Was Waiting for Fatherhood to Get Easier—And Almost Missed It
Fatherhood isn’t always what you expect. Before my son was born, I pictured zoo trips, wrestling matches, and epic adventures. But in those early months, I was just trying not to break this tiny, fragile human. Each stage—newborn, toddler, kid—came with surprises, challenges, and moments I didn’t realize I’d miss until they were gone. I’ve learned that if you’re constantly waiting for the hard parts of parenting to pass, you’ll miss the joy of the stage you’re in. Every phase of your child’s life has something worth noticing.
