Hi, I’m Ken Laroza — husband, father, and writer.
This all started with an idea. After my son was born nearly ten years ago, I had a really tough time coping. I burned out fast and struggled. A lot. With help from my wife, therapy, and a whole lot of inner work, I eventually found my way to a better headspace — but it wasn’t easy.
Becoming a father is a massive shift, and I realized there isn’t nearly enough support out there for dads. I joked about writing a book back then, but over time, as I opened up and shared advice, I saw how many other men were feeling the same way. That’s when I started writing seriously — and that book became the seed for this site.
This is more than a place to promote a book. It’s a space to help dads — and to build a community where we can support one another. It’s about real talk for dads at every stage — whether you’re expecting your first child or trying to stay sane while raising teens. I write books, short posts, and practical guides to help you show up with more clarity, compassion, and confidence.
Dads aren’t just providers or protectors. We’re thoughtful, present, emotionally grounded men doing our best — even when it feels like we’re barely holding it together.
When I’m not writing, I’m walking the dog, rolling on the mat at jiu-jitsu, chasing golf balls, helping with homework, or joining my son for a game of Minecraft.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope what you find here reminds you that you’re not alone — and that there’s no such thing as a perfect dad, only one who keeps showing up.
